Changing how we stand in behaviour
Do you have behaviour problems in your classroom/school yard?
Does managing behaviour take a lot of your time away from teaching and connecting with the kids willing to learn?
When students have conflict with another, do they come running to you and look up to you, waiting for YOU to have the answer?
Are you exhausted from mediating behaviours in the classroom and the yard, and filling out those behaviour management forms?
Here is an alternative that may just bring “power with”, rather than “power over” …..
– What do we do
Different Track is a different “track” to consider with behaviour both in the classroom and in the school yard … and extends to peers, parents and your own relationships!
This is a hands-on ONE DAY experience at your school.
We begin to see behaviour as a language, that, in any moment, one does not have any other tool to communicate what is going on for them.
“See the human in front of us, not the problem” Gabor Mate
What if the art of conflict and its behaviours, brings…
.. CLOSENESS with the one acting out?
.. a gift of learning a new language to COMMUNICATE?
.. a language that shares FEELINGS?
.. a language that acknowledges the NEEDS of a person?
.. a language that brings LISTENING?
.. a language that embraces CONNECTION?
AND
.. a language that encourages PEACE?
